Document reading for Webority products, published to nuget.org as Webority.Documents.

Setup

services.AddWeborityDocuments(o => o.MaxTextCharacters = 150000);

All options are optional: MaxDocumentBytes (25 MB), MaxOpenXmlParts (500), MaxOpenXmlPartBytes (25 MB), MaxTextCharacters (no cap).

Service What it does
IDocumentTextReader Text from PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), HTML and plain text. One result per document with an outcome: Read, NoText, Unreadable, PasswordProtected, TooLarge, Unsupported or OcrFailed.
IPdfReader Whether a PDF opens, and its page layout: words with their boxes and filled shapes with their colours.
IPdfMerger Joins PDFs into one, pages in the order given.

Scanned PDFs are read through an OCR engine when the host registers one (Webority.Pdf.Ocr.Azure).

DocumentFormats.FromFileName and FromContentType map common names and MIME types to a DocumentFormat.
