## Version 8.5.0 - September 25, 2026

 - **Changed:** PdfOutputOptions properties
   This type change will trigger a cache migration so be patient when you first open a document:
   With this version, DocumentCache will migrate this change automatically for you, it will scan the cache folder,
   update all .json cache info files, regenerate cache keys (due to json serialization change)
   and rename cache files to match the new cache keys.
   This migration will be run on first access to the cache, it can take few seconds to complete (may take longer for cloud folders).
   You can check the details and results of the migration in CacheMigrate.log in cache folder.

 - **Improved:** Redesigned online and offline docs. Dropped legacy .chm file and provided offline site docs with same
   search capability as online docs, which can be directly opened with a browser.

 - **Improved:** Reduced size of GleamTech.DocumentUltimate.dll to decrease memory footprint and improve loading time.

 - **Improved:** Stability and performance of Portable formats.
   Linearized PDFs are now supported again via `PdfOutputOptions.Linearized` property.
   This is same as `FastWebViewEnabled` property which was removed back in v7.1.0.

 - **Improved:** Watermarks with rotation will now be aligned correctly to page corners
   rotated size will be taken into account so that the rotated text/image will not overflow the page
   Ensure Watermark Width and Height properties are treated as Point and not Pixels when SizeIsPercentage is not true.

 - **Improved:** When converting image formats (including Dicom, Cad) to PDF, ensure image is scaled to A4 portrait or landscape page depending on aspect ratio,
   then resize the page to the resulting image dimensions to avoid any vertical or horizontal whitespace/margins.
   This can be changed with new property PdfOutputOptions.ImageToPdfOptions which allows setting page size/margin
   and auto wrap/orient options:

 - **Improved:** Re-enabled Jpeg2000 image to PDF conversion.

 - **Improved:** Better SVG to PDF conversion.
   PDF pages can now also be converted to SVG images.
   ImageWatermark.Image property now supports SVG images.

 - **Improved:** Reduce memory usage, conversion time and output file size for TIFF to PDF conversions (e.g. 100 pages TIFF file).
   Using largest frame size was not efficient, i.e. was slow and consumed too much memory,
   so just use the size of the first frame as max.
   This further optimizes performance improvements that was first done in v7.6.6.
