0.7.0 release notes:

main changes:

  • support of the locally instaled packages
  • xml and json output
  • -s|--showStat option to display one row with count of available and outdated packages

breaking changes:

  • shows an additional and slightly different table of local installed tools preceding the table with the globally installed tools (if found the outdated locally instaled tools)
  • different JSON output format (element names starting lower letter, camel case, dotnet-tools-outdated element with list of outdated packages and several additional elements)
  • different XML output format (camel case boolean values, dotnet-tools-outdated element with list of outdated packages and several additional elements and attributes)
  • update XML elements to be more in harmony with JSON format elements
  • less packages listed in JSON and XML output by default (aka without the --outPkgRegardlessState option) or with the --name option
  • -t|--toolPath option (perhaps not used frequently) changed to -gt|--globalToolsPath

  • -ni|--noIndent fixed for both JSON and XML
