This project extends the UtilPack.Cryptography project and provides implementation for most common cryptograhpic digest algorithms: MD5, SHA128, SHA256, and SHA512.
All of those algorithms are generated by this T4 file, since they are all similar block digest algorithms.
This similarness is also evident by the fact that all of those classes implement
BlockDigestAlgorithm interface provided by this project.
This interface can be implemented by other libraries as well.
DigestBasedRandomGenerator provides concrete implementation for
RandomGenerator interface in UtilPack.Cryptography, using the given
BlockDigestAlgorithm interface to generate random data.
DigestBasedRandomGenerator is not safe to use concurrently - it has state that it modifies during the calls to methods in such way that concurrent calls would most likely cause errors or erroneous data.
See NuGet package for binary distribution.
Need to write the
BlockDigestAlgorithm which uses the .NET native algorithms (if they are available) instead of completely managed current implementations of MD5/SHA*.
Also need to add more digest algorithms (SHA3, BLAKE2).
NuGet packages (3)
Showing the top 3 NuGet packages that depend on UtilPack.Cryptography.Digest:
Provides ability to create objects implementing SASLMechanism of UtilPack.Cryptograhy.SASL that handle the SCRAM mechanism of SASL. No strings are allocated during challenge. Both client-side and server-side mechanisms are provided.
Contains skeleton implementation for types defined in Backend.Core and Backend.HTTP.Common packages.
Contains class implementing StringTransformer interface from Backend.HTTP.Common package, which uses cryptographic digests (e.g. SHA512) to transform strings.
This package is not used by any popular GitHub repositories.
Binary-incompatible API changes: BlockDigestAlgorithm interface now extends DigestAlgorithm interface. Also added utility method to shuffle binary encoding characters (e.g. base64) using DigestBasedRandomGenerator seeded with given seed material.
