LicenseServer.Templates.Authoring

Authoring-side helpers for LicenseServer templates, built on top of LicenseServer.Templates.Core. Where Core is the AOT-clean runtime engine (model + parser + resolver + discipline rules), Authoring adds the heavier, server/tooling-only pieces used to generate and analyze templates.

This package depends on Core and carries YamlDotNet, so it is not AOT-targeted — use it from JIT hosts (the license server, authoring/MCP tooling), not from an AOT-published client.

What's Included

  • Compose/env parsing: ComposeParser + EnvFileParser (YamlDotNet) — read a docker-compose.yml / .env into attribute-free POCOs that Core's compose-cross-checking rules can validate.
  • Framework detection: heuristics for inferring a service's stack.
  • Analysis: cross-checks a parsed template against its compose source.
  • Proposers: suggested fixes for discipline-rule violations surfaced by Core.

When to Use This Package

Reference this package when you are building or analyzing templates from existing project sources (compose files, env files) rather than just consuming a finished template. For pure parse/resolve/validate of an already-authored template, depend on Core alone.
